Bono gives shoutout to Washington Capitals during U2 concert at Capital One Arena

U2 performed two consecutive soldout shows at Capital One Arena this week, and lead singer Bono did not forget about the Washington Capitals.

While performing a Beautiful Day Monday night, Bono gave a quick shoutout to the Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals.

“Washington Capitals, right in front of you” Bono can be heard saying in the video posted by Twitter user @mpm34.

The night before, Bono gave a shoutout to Madeline Albright during the song. She was the first woman to become the United States Secretary of State.

Albright was spotted sitting in the crowd by U2 fans.

It’s a great time to be a Capitals fan right now.
