The moment after the Washington Capitals defeated the Vegas Golden Knights, the NHL started taking preorders for a Blu-Ray and DVD video recapping the team’s first ever Stanley Cup championship.
Monday morning, Cinedigm and NHL Original Productions released the cover of the DVD. Alex Ovechkin will grace the cover along with select teammates collaged at the top. A triumphant Ovechkin is shown raising the Stanley Cup for the very first time.

The movie will highlight the team’s unforgettable season with clips from both the regular season and postseason, behind-the-scenes footage, and interviews with team captain Alex Ovechkin, this year’s Conn Smythe Trophy recipient; netminder Braden Holtby, who secured two shutouts during the playoffs; and Barry Trotz, who won his first Stanley Cup Championship after 19 years as a head coach in the NHL.

The video will be available on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, and Digital with an “at home” release of July 31, 2018.
