All the Washington Capitals had to do was win one game at home to take a commanding 3-1 series lead against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Final.
Instead, the Caps lost both games at home. Alex Ovechkin, who had 12 shots but no goals during the two home games, was not happy about it.
Despite two-minutes worth of chances to end the game, the Capitals could not tie with Braden Holtby pulled for an extra attacker. After Anthony Cirelli scored an empty-net goal with two seconds left, an angry Ovechkin broke his CCM stick over the crossbar.
Ovi was all of us.
Pure frustration.
The Capitals will try to take back the series lead Saturday during Game Five in Tampa.
