Once again the Caps have got an early lead against the Penguins. Before Game Two was two minutes old, Alex Ovechkin put the puck behind Matt Murray, high glove-side.

The top line of Evgeny Kuznetsov and Ovechkin surged into the offensive zone at even strength. Kuznetsov carried the puck, but he was tied up by Patric Hornqvist. With a stick check, Hornqvist inadvertently sent a perfect pass to Ovechkin. Ovi put one touch on it and the fired a fast release to Murray’s flank.
Ovechkin has seven goals this postseason, which is tied for the NHL lead. Kuznetsov has ten points.
The Russian machine scored on Murray in a similar fashion during Game One: high and glove side.
The Caps earned an early lead in Game One as well. This one needs to go better than that one.
