Arizona Coyotes forward Richard Panik has found himself in some trouble. The Slovak native was arrested for trespassing on April 8 in Scottsdale, a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona.
Panik was approached by police when he refused to leave the entrance of Bevvy, a sports bar and restaurant located in Scottsdale. Police reported that Panik appeared to be intoxicated.
Panik was booked for criminal trespassing into the Scottsdale City Jail and later released with a criminal citation.
The Arizona Coyotes received Panik from the Chicago Blackhawks in January during a trade that sent Anthony Duclair to Chicago. Panik played 35 games in the 2017-18 season with Arizona.
The Coyotes have not released a public statement, but told ABC15, “We are aware of the incident and are still gathering information as it pertains to the situation. We will have no further comment at the present time.”
