Capitals become sixth team in NHL history to lose Games 1 and 2 in overtime at home

Over the last decade, the Washington Capitals have put on a clinic on how to collapse in the postseason and, Sunday night in Game Two, they tied a record for home overtime futility.

According to ESPN, the Caps become just the sixth team in NHL history to lose in overtime of both Games One and Two of a best-of-seven series at home. That is sad.

But that last part is even sadder.

According to WNST’s ED Frankovic, the Capitals have lost five of their last six playoff games on home ice.

Oh.
