Sunday night, the Washington Capitals clinched their eighth division championship in their last 11 seasons. Less than an hour later, the NHL shop, powered by Fanatics, put Capitals Metropolitan Division champions gear on sale.
Here’s the division champs shirt.

The shirt is $31.99 and the hat is $27.99. The Capitals wore neither item in the locker room after the game because much like fans, they have bigger goals in mind.
But who knows? Maybe these items will be the first of several championship items to follow in the weeks and months to come. Or maybe these items will once again serve as the perfect ironic sports gear to wear during the summer.
Regardless, rocking this shirt or hat is like wearing a Capital One Arena banner on your chest so you should definitely buy one of each right now.
