Capitals forward Tom Wilson has been living rent free in the New York Islanders’ heads since the 2015 postseason, but tonight he had a few overdue bills to pay.
After a second period scrum in front of the net — there’s no real graceful way to say this — Cal Clutterbuck speared Tom Wilson in the balls and penis.

What complicated matters is that the officials on the ice, despite standing right beside the players, missed the spear and gave Clutterbuck only a two-minute minor for slashing.
Tom was understandably upset Cal did not get a five-minute major for spearing and expressed his extreme dissatisfaction from the bench.
Clutterbuck was likely getting Wilson back for crashing into Casey Cizikas during the first period. Cizikas would leave the ice briefly but return to the game a few minutes later.
With Clutterbuck in the box, the Capitals would score on the resulting power play and take a 5-2 lead. Nicklas Backstrom tallied his 18th goal of the season after a wild deflection in the crease.
Later in the second stanza, Wilson would nail Clutterbuck in open ice and ask the grinder to dance.
Clutterbuck declined and Wilson would take a two-minute minor for roughing.
