Don’t look now but Andre Burakovsky has four goals in his last seven games.
The Burracuda’s latest tally came after he went coast-to-coast and scored. It’s the second time Young Dre’s gone to the full length of the ice for a goal in nine days.

Let’s see here. Burra takes the puck in defensive zone and skates past Jason Pominville. That’s one. As Burkie gets to center ice, he zooms by Scott Wilson. That’s two. In the defensive zone, Dre dekes and splits Rasmus Ristolainen and Nathan Beaulieu breaking in alone on Robin Lehner.
Burakovsky toe dragged the puck and ducked it between Lehner’s pads to give the Capitals a 2-0 lead heading into the second intermission.
What a celly.
Burakovsky now has 9 points (5g, 4a) in his last 13 games.
“This whole game is all about confidence and how you feel,” Burakovsky said to NBC Sports Network’s Tarik El-Bashir. “Right now just every time I have the puck, I’m handling it. I’m not stressing anything.I’m feeling really good with the puck and my skating is feeling better than ever.”
While the goal looked sensational, it didn’t necessarily go by design.
“To be honest, I’ve been shooting a lot tonight. I’ve had a lot of chances. It’s kind of crazy that something like that would just goes in,” Burakovsky said. “I’ve had some better looks during the game. I kinda lost the puck at the end there and the only thing I was trying to do was dish one off the net and hopefully get a rebound for someone. I was lucky that one went in.”
