Storylines
- Andre Burakovsky went to break his stick on the bench Monday evening and did not realize that he almost impaled then backup goaltender Braden Holtby.
- With the acquisition of Michal Kempny from the Chicago Blackhawks, the Capitals have placed defenseman Taylor Chorney on waivers with the intent of getting him off of their NHL roster.
- Some numbers from the Caps victory in Buffalo against the Sabres.
- Evgeny Kuznetsov promised Evgeni Malkin that he’d shave his head if Malkin’s Penguins were to repeat as Stanley Cup champions last season. Well, we know how that went. Could we see a bald Kuzy in the future?
- The Blackhawks have arena banned the four fans that racially taunted Caps forward Devante Smith-Pelly.
