The time of year has come for the Capitals Better Halves gift baskets auction. As in previous years, all of the baskets include autographed jerseys and Caps merchandise, along with unique items that represent some of the players’ favorite things and give fans a fun glimpse at their personalities.
Andre Burrakovsky’s includes a copy of season one of Game of Thrones and plenty of IKEA goodies, Jakub Vrana threw in his favorite cereal, and the baskets of both Braden Holtby and Nicklas Backstrom feature books that are presumably loved by the respective players.
Bidding on the baskets, which will be auctioned through Handbid, began online at noon on Wednesday, January 31st and will end at 2PM on Sunday, February 4th. In addition, the baskets will be on display outside suites 210 and 211 at Capital One Arena during the 12:30 Caps game against the Vegas Golden Knights on February 4th.
