Fans ask William Nylander to take photo of them at Marlies game not knowing he’s William Nylander

Toronto Maple Leafs star William Nylander spent the first day of the All-Star Break taking in a Toronto Marlies game at Ricoh Center. William was in the house to see his younger brother Alex play for the Rochester Americans.

While showing support to his brother is noteworthy enough, it was what William did for a group of fans at the game that has Twitter buzzing.

According to Twitter user Erika, William was approached by fans sitting in the suite beside him and asked if he would take picture of their full group. She does not think the fans knew that they just asked a professional hockey player to do their bidding.

Of course Nylander went along with the photo request because he’s a nice young Swede who was partially raised by Nicklas Backstrom.

If this tweet goes viral, which I think it may, these fans are probably going to be kicking themselves that they didn’t ask for a selfie with the professional hockey player.

Several Marlies fans later posted photos with William in the parking lot after the game, confirming his appearance at the game.
