Norris Trophy winning defenseman Zdeno Chara may be known for his blistering slap shot and his crushing hits. But he certainly has a soft spot as well.
The six-foot-nine defenseman showed off that tender side in an Instagram video he posted two days ago. In it, a pigeon is on Chara’s arm, eating bread crumbs from his hand.
I like to feed them once in a while. Their trust feels very peaceful. It’s on us how we embrace the trust of any animal. People sometimes misuse it. Shouldn’t we value and enjoy it instead? ——————————————————————————— Sem tam ich rad krmim. Ich dovera je velmi upokojujuca. Je na nas ako sa postavime ku dovere akehokolvek zvierata. In the caption, Chara showed off more of his kindness and compassion towards animals.

In his Instagram account’s 15 days of existence, Chara has already amassed over 19 thousand followers. I’m willing to bet that that number is as high as it is because the account unintentionally shows off how the Bruins’ captain is just a really, really good guy.
