Minnesota Wild fans went insane at Xcel Center celebrating Vikings last second win

Sunday night, the Minnesota Wild played the Vancouver Canucks the same time the Vikings played the Saints in an NFL playoff game.

For Wild fans, the Vikings game was hard to peel away from. After taking an early 17-point lead, the Vikings imploded in the second half. Kicker Wil Lutz gave the Saints a 24-23 lead after connecting on a 43-yard field goal with only 25 seconds left. The Vikings would get the ball back and on the team’s final play, Case Keenum found UMD alumnus Stefon Diggs along the sideline for an unlikely 61-yard touchdown.

The US Bank Stadium crowd was deafening.

The same could be said 9.2 miles away At Xcel Energy Center, where Wild fans congregated in the concourse to watch the game end.

Look at all that jumping! Wild fans were acting like they just won the Stanley Cup.

The Wild Twitter account posted two Vikings-related tweets. They re-posted a video of Diggs at a game earlier in the season.

They also posted a photo of Zach Parise wearing a Vikings hat during intermission.

Meanwhile at also-nearby Target Center, the Minnesota Timberwolves were warming up for their game against the Portland Trailblazers at Target Center. This is how fans and players reacted after Diggs scored.

What a huge sports night in Minnesota.
