The Washington Capitals resident bad boy, Andre Burakovsky, is not playing against the Carolina Hurricanes tonight due to illness. The Capitals announced the surprise scratch a half an hour before puck drop.

Burakovsky skated with Lars Eller and TJ Oshie on the third line during the morning skate. Instead, Brett Connolly took Burra’s spot in the lineup.
