Lars Eller has scored his 200th career NHL point, and it was a doozy.
With the Caps and Canucks tied at one goal in the first period, Lars Eller defeated a horde of Nucks solo to give Washington the lead and get a big round number in a boxcar stat.

While it was a solo effort in the offensive zone, Eller’s drive started with a terrific outlet pass from Madison Bowey. From there, Eller ran straight into Ben Hutton and Loui Eriksson. Eller used Hutton as a screen and released a monster shot.
Here’s another look.
Craig Laughlin called it “top cheese.” Whatever that means, I have no idea, but I love it.
Eller now has goals in consecutive games and three in his last five.
Madison Bowey recorded his 10th assist of the season on Eller's goal. Bowey currently ranks fourth among rookie defensemen in assists.
