Sunday evening, the Hershey Bears traveled to a galaxy far, far away and hosted the Charlotte Checkers on Star Wars night at Giant Center. Like any good minor-league promotion, this included in-game theming, fan costumes, and, most importantly, Star Wars jerseys.
The brilliant Empire Strikes Back-themed sweaters featured AT-ATs on the planet Hoth. And, unlike some novelty jerseys, the Bears wore these beauties in the actual game.

The jerseys were later auctioned off and raised over $49,000 for local charities.
Characters took to the arena, with an ewok and a wampa taking pictures with players.

Even fans got in on the action, dressing up and bringing signs to the game.
