Caps Road Crew takes photo with Nate Schmidt while holding up Schmidt faces

The Caps Road Crew is in Las Vegas this weekend for Washington’s first game against the Vegas Golden Knights. They had a special surprise for former Capital Nate Schmidt.

A large contingent of Caps fans attended VGK’s practice this morning and they all held up Nate Schmidt masks.

The VGK’s Twitter account gave the Caps fans several shoutouts.

During practice, Schmidt came over and took photos with the Road Crew through the glass. Like old times.

After the skate concluded, he signed autographs and took this priceless photo.

“It’s pretty special they put that together,” Schmidt said after the practice. “I really enjoyed my time [in Washington].”

This is the best.
