Follicly-gifted Karl Alzner brought out the razor for a great cause.
On Wednesday, Alzner, along with a few Canadiens buddies, shaved all the hair off the top of their heads for charity. All proceeds from the donations raised will go in support of Leucan, an organization which helps children with cancer and their families.
Alzner, who is still rocking his Movember mustache, decided to shave his head for the cause after learning about it from teammate Jeff Petry.
“I put it out there in our group chat to see if anyone had an interest in taking part. Karl and Benny jumped on it right away. Hemmer was one who was on the fence, but once we made the website he was on board,” Petry said to NHL.com. “Hudy took a bit of convincing – he’s got a lot of hair – but he finally came back and wanted to do it.”
The nicknames Petry is referring to are fellow Canadien teammates Alzner, Jordie Benn, Ales Hemsky, Charles Hudon, Artturi Lehkonen, Victor Mete, and Andrew Shaw.
Together, the eight of them raised over $33,000 CAD.
Looking great, Karl!
