Leave it to Nate Schmidt to derail a perfectly good interview and turn it into something even better.
Not satisfied with being a good hockey player and ray of light of a human being, Schmidt took Golden Knights reporter Gary Lawless’ microphone and played the role of journalist during a Thanksgiving interview.
Along with asking Lawless what he’s thankful for, Schmidt revealed that he’s hosting Thanksgiving dinner for his teammates, that he does Thanksgiving correctly (food, nap, more food), and that he does not know what a turducken is.
Nate Schmidt decided he had enough questions from @GaryLawless. So he stole his mic and conducted his own interview about Thanksgiving pic.twitter.com/Dh3YhCbo9c

I guess Schmidt never stumbled across Frank Caliendo’s impression of John Madden.
I’m sad that he’s not playing for my favorite hockey team anymore, but this Thanksgiving, I’m thankful that Nate Schmidt is a real person that exists in the same universe as me.
