When the Capitals moved to mobile tickets in July 2016, selling online became more complicated. Without the ability to sell on resale sites such as StubHub, Capitals STH’ers were stuck selling on Craigslist, taking offers on Twitter, or the Caps’ Ticketmaster resale site.
Well, I have good news. StubHub has officially announced that they support mobile ticket listings for select NHL teams – the Capitals included!
Now tickets issued through your Club Red 365 account can be sold on StubHub. Here’s how.
StubHub describes the steps to list and deliver tickets through mobile transfer.
- List your tickets on StubHub from your computer and select “I’m Ready to Transfer” as the delivery method.
- When your tickets sell, you will receive a sale notification email from StubHub containing your buyer’s info, so you can deliver your tickets.
- To deliver your tickets:
- Login to your Capitals account to access your mobile tickets.
- Find the tickets sold and click “Transfer.”
- Enter the buyer’s name and email address to transfer the tickets. Always double check the information before clicking confirm.
- After transferring, go to StubHub and click on “My Tickets.” Locate the order in the “Sales” tab. Click “Confirm Delivery” and enter in the buyer’s email address to complete your sale and initiate your payout.
- To ensure timely payment and avoid cancellation of your sale, remember to confirm delivery on StubHub as soon as you’ve transferred the tickets.
Voila!
StubHub includes that some teams will provide a link when you transfer the tickets and the buyer’s email address won’t be necessary. If the Capitals are one of those teams, you simply enter the link in your StubHub listing and StubHub will do the rest.
Mobile ticket listings will expire four hours prior to puck drop.
The other NHL teams supported through mobile ticket listing are the Arizona Coyotes, Boston Bruins, Carolina Hurricanes, Dallas Stars, Montreal Canadiens, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils, San Jose Sharks and Tampa Bay Lightning.
Happy hockey-ing!
