Thursday against the Islanders, Capitals forward Tom Wilson made his presence felt everywhere on the ice. Wilson made the night of a cancer survivor, authored the primary assist on Lars Eller’s game-winning goal, and landed one of the biggest hits in the Capitals young season.
During the second period, Wilson lined up Andrew Ladd and demolished the Islanders forward into the boards. The camera angles of the hit could have been better, but let’s still take a moment to appreciate Tom at his peak Wilsonness.
Yes.
This is a good hit.
A very, very good hit.
Wilson is a human freight train. Keep your heads up, opposing players.
