The Capitals continued their western swing by matching up with Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers. A trip to comeback city was also in order.
Patrick Maroon opened the scoring off of a rebound created by McDavid driving to the net on Taylor Chorney. Adam Larsson got some puck luck to make the game 2-0 as his shot ramped up off of Jay Beagle’s stick. Devante Smith-Pelly scored his first as a Capital and allowed the Caps to salvage something from the first twenty minutes.
Lars Eller one-timed the tying goal past Cam Talbot on a delayed penalty call. We were deadlocked after two periods at two.
Evgeny Kuzetsov struck early to complete the comeback and then after some more magic scored the insurance goal to boot. Jay Beagle tallied the empty netter.

Joe B suit of the night
The Caps stay out west for a date with the Calgary Flames next. It’s a back to back, so you can pretty much just stay right here.
