The Caps’ swing through western Canada continues tonight in Edmonton. For just the fourth time, Washington will get a closeup look at Connor McDavid, who has scored one goal and four assists in his previous three meetings with the Caps.
For their part, the Caps roster is still a mostly improvised thing, stitched together out of hall-of-famers, also-rans, AHLers, and fellows who might be just a few hours removed from intense diarrhea.
Puck drop is a little after 10 PM. Chris from the Comments will be recapping, so it’ll surely be hundo.

Stranger Things?
We are a spoiler free zone until, I dunno, Tuesday-ish. Here is that banging intro theme though.
For the record, I enjoyed the heck out of season one, but the ending pulled its punches, and that undercut the whole series for me. Sean T. Collins had a scathing take on how Stranger Things commits cultural theft without sharing the gravitas of its sources. I think he’s right, but I hope season two will have a little more heft to it.
Onward, binge!
