This is too many Jaromir Jagrs

Jaromir Jagr has played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins, New Jersey Devils, Florida Panthers, and now the Calgary Flames. Although we hate him, we are also in awe of him. Jagr’s joie de vivre and journeyman lifestyle has convinced a group of passionate folks to travel the continent wearing mullet wigs and seven different team jerseys. They are the Traveling Jagrs, and they are delightful.

On Saturday, in Calgary, the real Jagr surprised the Traveling Jagrs during a live TV interview. I think Jagr enjoyed it more than the Traveling Jagrs.

After a few minutes of idle chatter and Jagr-salutes, the real deal ambushes the interview from behind, carrying a signed jersey and a giant smile. Jagr and the Jagrs exchange laughs and discuss Jagr’s conditioning (needs some work, the player agrees). Jagr hands off the jersey then disappears into the Alberta night.

Legend. We hate him; he’s so good.
