While the Capitals have been in training camp for over a week, the Hershey Bears are just ramping up. Sunday, the team from Chocolatetown announced the 26 players that will be reporting Monday for the start of training camp.
Notable players on the roster include Chris Bourque, who was re-signed by the Bears this summer, and Lucas Johansen. Johansen was under consideration for a spot on the Capitals’ blue line this season, but was reassigned to the Hershey camp.
Along with Bourque and Johansen, the rest of the roster is as follows:

The Bears will inevitably gain more players at training camp as the Capitals continue to trim their roster. The Capitals still carry 36 players, but will need to get down to 23 at the most.
Hershey opens the preseason on Wednesday, September 27 at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. They will kick off the regular season on the road against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Saturday, October 7.
