The Washington Capitals had several more players return to the area during Labor Day weekend.
Capitals first-line center Nicklas Backstrom, first line winger TJ Oshie, checking-line forward Tom Wilson, prospect Jakub Vrana, and defensemen Matt Niskanen and Brooks Orpik were among the notable returns Tuesday morning.

Strength and conditioning coach Mark Nemish is running the drills. Here’s the full squad from CSN Mid-Atlantic’s Tarik El-Bashir.
Red—Ovechkin, Kuznetsov, Backstrom, Oshie, Connolly and Wilson.
White—Vrana, Peluso, Walker and Gustafsson.
Defense—Niskanen, Orpik, Orlov, Carlson, Chorney, Djoos, Siegenthaler, Hobbs and Johansen.
Goalies—Holtby, Grubauer and Vanecek.
The Capitals’ first day of training camp is 10 days away on September 15. According to El-Bashir, these skates are scheduled through September 12. On September 14, physicals and testing will be done.
