EA Sports is releasing their new NHL video game in mid-September and one of your favorite Capitals is among the best players in the game.
Braden Holtby is the second highest-rated goaltender with an overall score of 90. He’s bested only by fellow handsome Canadian, Carey Price (92). Meanwhile 2017 Vezina Trophy winner Sergei Bobrovsky ranks third (89).

NHL 18 explained Holtby’s rating thusly:
Holtby continues to be a brick wall for the Washington Capitals, posting his third consecutive straight 40+ win seasons. Last year, Holtby boasted an incredible 0.925 Save Percentage while leading the Capitals to their second consecutive Presidents’ Trophy. His Five Hole (91), Stick Low (91) and Glove Low (90) ratings mean that you’re going to need to elevate the puck if you want to beat the Holtbeast.
After another Vezina Trophy worthy season, Holtby jumped a spot from last year’s ratings where he was the third best goaltender in the game behind Price and Jonathan Quick.
Here’s a look at who EA Sports perceives to be the best goaltenders in the league for 2018.
