On Thursday, Washington Capitals backup goaltender Philipp Grubauer visited Oberaudorf-Inntal, a private school in his hometown of Rosenheim. Grubi led a session on a topic he knows very well: hockey.
“Visited a local school that works with all learning levels, and taught them a bit about hockey. had fun with those little guys☺️,” Grubauer wrote on Instagram.
The school also published a recap of Grubauer’s visit and posted their own photo.
Hockey tips from a NHL professional
To make hockey fun: Students at the Private school at Oberaudorf-Inntal got some tips from a pro. Philipp Grubauer visited the school and gave the students a look into the exciting life of a NHL goalie. The Rosenheim native is a goalkeeper for the Washington Capitals. He’s already played two seasons with the hockey team. He started his career with the Starbulls of Rosenheim.
The students had an interesting look into the life of a pro player and of course he played some hockey with them. The students were of course excited and looked forward to Grubauer’s next visit: he said he would bring all of his gear then!
Before dropping by the school, Grubauer vacationed in Greece and has been training for next season.
