The Capitals are saying ‘yea rights’ to each other and we have no idea what it means

The Washington Capitals are the weirdest team in the National Hockey League and Wednesday night, they proved it once again.

It all began when three-time Stanley Cup champion and former Capitals forward Justin Williams responded to a Michael Latta tweet teasing Andre Burakovsky. Stick’s message? “yea rights.”

Several right-handed shooting Capitals teammates chimed in after that and below was the stupid result.

We’re guessing #WWSD means What Would Stick Do?

The “yea rights” party actually began on Sunday when Marcus Johansson posted two photos and a video after snagging his first ever hole in one.

I’m guessing that when you spend every awaking moment for an entire year with your teammates, normal conversation eventually devolves into inside jokes. And then those inside jokes devolve into running gags.

Never change, guys.
