Being a Caps fan is masochistic and I have more proof of that.
Saturday night, the Star Tribune’s Michael Russo announced how the Vegas Golden Knights’ expansion draft picks will be announced. (See all the available players here.)
Check this out.
Periodically throughout awards show, players will be announced in reverse order of standings of team they're taken from – Avs to Caps https://t.co/vmZKKmv4s5

So for those of you who like having a bandaid ripped off all at once to minimize the pain, this will be the very opposite of that. The Caps’ lost player, potentially Nate Schmidt or Philipp Grubauer, will be announced last because Washington won the Presidents’ Trophy again. It’s the gift that keeps on giving, you guys.
Also, I want to take a minute to remind you that the NHL Awards Show is being hosted by an ostentatious Pittsburgh Penguins fan, Joe Manganiello. Here is a picture of Joe Manganiello.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for Wednesday! It’ll be like the 2017 postseason all over again.
