Marcus “Joe Hanson” Johansson will now be forever be a part of Caps lore, if he weren’t already due to Swedes On Bikes.
The Swedish forward scored the biggest goal of his career in overtime of Game Six. The goal sends the Caps to the second round of the playoffs where they will meet the defending champion Pittsburgh Penguins for the second consecutive year (get your anti-Pens merch here).

It was a set play after the faceoff. Evgeny Kuznetsov won the draw directly back to John Carlson. Carlson found Justin Williams, who unleashed a slap shot that Frederik Andersen could not corral. Johansson slammed the rebound home.
Please don’t call this man soft ever again.
What a huge goal.
Johansson scored earlier in the game to tie it and force overtime..
Marcus Johansson 2, Toronto Maple Leafs 1.
