Toronto Maple Leafs forward Leo Komarov plays his role as a pest well and usually plays somewhat in the lines.
Tonight was not one of those nights.
A closer look shows that Komarov leaped into Schmidt to make the hit.
Nate Schmidt, who was in a ton of pain, would temporarily leave the game while Komarov went unpenalized on the play.
He’d return from the locker room minutes later no worse for wear.
