Late in the first period, we all feared the worse as we watched Alex Ovechkin get helped to the locker room. Ovechkin could not put any pressure on his left leg. The knee-on-knee hit by Nazem Kadri looked devastating.

The hit rattled the glass so much that it appears the CSN cameraman almost fell over.
Through two periods of play, Ovechkin leads all Capitals players with five hits.
