The Caps will be giving away Budweiser goal light beer cups to the first 10,000 fans in attendance for Game Two

Remember last year when I wrote about the Budweiser Goal Light? The $159.99 goal light connects to your wi-fi and goes off when there’s a real-life Capitals goal.

Well tonight, the first 10,000 people in attendance of Game Two, will be receiving free Budweiser goal light beer cups. The beer cups will light up after every Caps goal. It’s the first time these cups have been offered in the United States (please someone get me one).

The red light puck at the base works via Bluetooth and RFID technology.

More from the Capitals:

For Game 2 on Saturday, April 15, Budweiser is partnering with the Capitals to truly “Rock the Red” and #LightUpDC. You can pick up the Red Light Cups at participating concession locations throughout the building and watch as your cups light up each time the Capitals score. Arrive early so you can pick up one of the 10,000 Cups that will be distributed to fans 21 years and older.

You can pick up your cup with no purchase at any 100 or 400 level concession stand, the Budweiser Brew House, or the Beck’s Lounge. All you need to do is show an ID.

Nothing is more exciting during a hockey game than being part of the goal-scoring celebration. And now, thanks to Budweiser, Capitals fans can celebrate that epic moment with a first look at the new, goal-synched Red Light Cups.

Exclusive to fans 21+ attending Saturday’s playoff game, Budweiser will be distributing 10,000 cups upon entrance and then they’ll be available for purchase within the Verizon Center at certain concession locations including the Budweiser Brewhouse, Becks Lounge 100, 200, 400 level concession stands and Etihad Lounge for the rest of the Capitals playoff run. During opening ceremony and throughout the game, the Red Light cups will light up the Verizon Center to create the perfect backdrop to an epic game. The 22oz plastic cups contain a Red Light puck at the base and work via Bluetooth and RFID technology.

While the classic Budweiser Red Lights first joined the game time celebration in 2013, this is the first time the Red Lights Cups will be available in the United States.

The Budweiser Red Light Cups will first be available on Saturday, April 15th to fans attending the Capitals Playoff Game 2 and will only be available for purchase for the remaining Capitals home playoff games at certain concession locations including the Budweiser Brewhouse, Becks Lounge 100, 200, 400 level concession stands and Etihad Lounge.

Bring the cup home, download the Budweiser Red Light app on iOS or Android, sync up the cup to your phone, and celebrate each goal at home! You can also stop by the team store throughout the playoffs to purchase a replica of a red goal light so you can “Rock the Red” at home.

Cowbells? Meh. This is what I wanted. #Caps #Playoffs #BecauseItsTheCup
