Follow our countdown of the 16 wins needed for the Stanley Cup

We all know it takes 16 wins for a Stanley Cup and this year I’m counting down every victory. After the Caps’ anxiety-inducing, come-from-behind triumph in Game One on Thursday night, I took down the first of 16 sticky-notes from a Caps-themed countdown I set up in a corner of my bedroom.

The sticky-notes are placed on top of happy Caps photos I printed out. Those photos make up a silhouette of the Stanley Cup.

The playoffs are a game-by-game battle, and this is my way of following the Caps’ journey, hopefully, to Stanley Cup victory. For the rest of this year’s playoff run, we’ll be posting an updated video of the countdown after each Caps win, a custom we hope will last well into June.

What are your creative ways of counting down to 16 wins? Share your ideas in the comments.
