Watch Alex Ovechkin, TJ Oshie, and Jay Beagle do pregame stickhandling drills in shorts and sandals

The Washington Capitals are back home after a five-game road streak – their longest of the season. Three Capitals in particular appeared so happy to be home that they went on the Verizon Center ice without skates or pants.

Ahead of the Caps’ nationally broadcasted game against the Rangers, Alex Ovechkin, TJ Oshie, and Jay Beagle took the ice and did stickhandling and passing drills. But it was what they were wearing which is fun.

Ovechkin is wearing a hoodie, spandex, and sandals; Oshie is rocking a backwards hat, a hoodie, and sandals; and Jay Beagle is wearing shorts and tennis shoes.

I don’t know why, but this is very random to me.
