According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the 2016-17 Capitals are the first team in franchise history to have four separate six-game-plus win streaks in the same season. NHL.com’s Tom Gulitti was the first to report the news.
The Caps have currently won six-straight games after defeating the Colorado Avalanche 5-3 Wednesday night. The Caps are 7-0-1 since the four-game skid out west earlier this month.
How good have the Caps been since a slow start in October and November? The Caps have tallied a six-game-plus win streak in every month since December.
The Caps can extend their current win streak to seven games with a win against the Coyotes Friday night.
