Friday night, Alex Ovechkin delivered pizzas as part of multi-year promotional deal he inked with Papa John’s. While the event was pre-planned, the reactions of the people receiving the pizzas were organic.
One fan “didn’t do sports” and had no idea who Ovechkin was. During another stop, magic happened. A tiny Caps fan peeked out the front door, noticed who was approaching, screeched something unintelligible, and ran back inside unable to contain his excitement.
“Okay,” Ovechkin said laughing, continuing his approach up the stairs.
