The pregame skate has happened, and it is brutal. Tonight’s game against the Oilers is gonna be weird.
Matt Niskanen is out with a lower-body injury. We knew that.
Brooks Orpik, who was questionable with a lower-body, is confirmed out.
Joining him is TJ Oshie, who I think got an old upper-body injury inflamed by Sean Couturier. He’s out too.
All of them are listed as day-to-day.

In the lineup instead is Riley Barber, making his NHL debut. Aaron Ness will fill out the D corps next to Nate Schmidt, and Taylor Chorney gets a second consecutive game.

Alright, so these are our Caps now. Game on. Win it anyway.
