Neuvirth? More like Neubirth.
Thursday night, TV NOVA Sport’s Roman Jedlicka broke the news that former Capitals goaltender Michal Neuvirth is going to be a father. But it’s who is set to be the mother that is a bit surprising.
Sister of #Flyers D Radko Gudas is pregnant. Father is gonna be #Flyers goalie Michal Neuvirth. Congrats. #AllInTheFamily

Karolina Gudasová, Radko Gudas’s sister, will be the mother. Gudas and Neuvirth are Czech teammates on the Flyers.
Gudasová is an accomplished musician who tours around the Czech Republic.
In June 2014, Neuvirth married his longtime girlfriend Monika at a Czech Republic castle called Strekov. Built in the 14th century, Strekov was in the inspiration for Wagner’s classic opera Tannhäuser.
But the marriage would not last. The two would divorce in less than a year amid rumors that Neuvirth was dating tennis player Kristyna Pliskova.
Now, Neuvirth is set to be a father for the first time.
So in summary, the sister of the player who injured Matt Niskanen will have a baby with the player who once badmouthed Braden Holtby in a Czech interview which he said we made up.
