DC metal band Periphery repping the Caps on tour

Two tough beats over the weekend have done little to quell the good feelings surrounding the Washington Capitals. Last week it was Chris “Freakshow” Meloni rocking a Caps hat. Today it’s the DC progressive metal band Periphery, who are currently on tour in Japan. Good hometown boys done good, they’re rocking Caps gear while traveling abroad.

There’s guitarist/possible wizard Misha Mansoor wearing the Caps shirt at Shinsaibashi-suji in Osaka.

Osaka! We’re in you and eating all of your food!

Periphery’s latest album, Select Difficulty, released last year on Sumerian Records, has been their biggest chart success to date.

I’d say the band’s most well known song is “Alpha”, off their 2015 album, Juggernaut: Alpha. It’s really fun, which I would say even if they weren’t Caps fans.

Lead guitarist Mansoor has repped his Caps fandom for a while.

So: Lynda Carter, Pat Sajak, Rep. Vivian Watts, Chris Meloni, the guy who writes Manifest Destiny, and now Periphery. All aboard.

Big ups to Eero K. for the tip
