In a world of upheaval, where nothing is certain anymore, where social institutions and mass transmit are crumbling, where lottery tickets and the gig economy are your only chances for prosperity, at least we’ve still go the Ovi Shot from the Ovi Spot.

Alex Ovechkin opened up scoring against the Carolina Hurricanes with a powerplay goal from his cubicle in the cubicle farm, near the faceoff dot, break room, and the bathroom.
It was a dizzying sequence with some slick passing before Ovechkin loosed his final shot. It was sailing wide until Canes goalie Eddie Lack corralled it into the net. Whoops.
The tally is Ovechkin’s 26th goal of the season, ranking him third in the league. The goal was also Ovi’s 206th powerplay goal of his career, passing Joe Sakic (205) for 14th place all time.
#Caps Alex Ovechkin has earned 19 points (8g, 11a) in his last 15 games and 26 points (12g, 14a) in his last 23 games.

Thanks for giving us something to believe in Ovi.
