Ryker Kesler steals show in All-Star Skills Competition, says favorite player is Alex Ovechkin

Saturday night during the All-Star Skills competition, Ryker Kesler took his dad’s place in the NHL Shootout. The six-year-old then scored on former Vezina Trophy winner Carey Price five-hole.

It was a cute moment.

The goal was even more impressive in slow motion.

After the skills competition ended, Ryan Kesler and Ryker spoke to Jeremy Roenick in the locker room. Ryker said ho-hum’dly that he was “excited” the he scored on Carey Price and admitted the practiced his celly everyday. Roenick then asked who Ryker’s favorite player was.

“Um, O-vesh-ken,” Ryker said, picking the Russian machine.

That’s a good choice, Ryker. That’s a very good choice.
