Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby tally assists on each other’s goals

The Metropolitan Division All-Stars defeated the Atlantic Division All-Stars 10-6 in both team’s first game of the tournament. The Metro was buoyed by two goals by an unlikely pair – line-mates Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby.

After a slow start between the rival superstars, Crosby tallied first, 6:26 in the second period. After Ovechkin gained the zone, the Russian machine found Justin Faulk. The Canes defenseman then tossed the puck to Crosby who backhanded the puck home.

The goal would give the Metro All-Stars a 7-5 lead.

Later, with one second left in the game, Crosby found Ovechkin wide open in front of the net to return the favor.

Tuukka Rask was not pleased.

Here’s the full video of Ovechkin’s goal.

Ovechkin and Crosby were inseparable during the Metro’s first game sitting and cheering together on the bench.

This remains so weird.
