After being named one of the top 100 players of all-time, Alex Ovechkin spoke to reporters. He called it the biggest honor of his career.
“To be in this company, it’s incredible,” Ovechkin said to CSN Mid-Atlantic’s Tarik El-Bashir. “All the legends – and you’re one of them. It’s unbelievable.”
Ovechkin then mingled and took photographs with, as he described it, the “best of the best.”
Ovechkin posed with all the members of the top 100 list who were still active players: Jonathan Toews, Sidney Crosby, Jaromir Jagr, Patrick Kane and Duncan Keith.

The Russian machine snapped a picture with Wayne Gretzky and Sergei Fedorov.
And another one with” Papa Feds.”
Ovechkin also managed to get a pic with one of his favorite players growing up, Mario Lemieux.
Later, Ovechkin and his family went out to dinner with a special guest.
