Saturday night, an important meeting of the minds between two lyricists happened at Staples Center.
“Champion” rapper Alex Ovechkin hung out with Snoop Dogg AKA DJ Snoopadelic in the locker room before the All-Star Skills Competition.
The Capitals snapped a picture of the two together too.

A few minutes after, Snoop’s alter ego DJ Snoopadelic performed during the introductions. It was great except he didn’t use clean versions of his songs, forcing NBCSN’s Kenny Albert to apologize.

We assume the D-O Double G was excited to meet one of the NHL’s greatest scorers of all-time. Way back in 2011, Snoop Dogg wore an Ovechkin jersey while performing at UMBC’s Quadmania.
