Hours before the NHL’s reveal of its top 100 players of all-time, Alex Ovechkin, who is expected to be named on that prestigious list, shot a new commercial for world-famous brand Beats By Dre.
The footage was captured by Ovi’s wife, Nastya Ovechkina, who attended the shoot.
While wearing a white pair of Powerbeats3 Wireless earphones, Ovechkin makes several gestures with hands to mock a beating heart. The White Stripes’ song Seven Nation Army plays in the background.
In early December, a digi-version of Ovechkin was featured in a Beats By Dre commercial which included the greatest athletes of every major sport.
Ovechkin’s relationship with Beats By Dre dates back several years. Oveckhin was featured in his very own commercial for the company entitled Never Break. He also wore Powerbeats2 wireless earbuds during the 2015 Winter Classic warmups, becoming the first hockey player ever to do so. Ovechkin also gave every member of the Russian National Team a pair of headphones during the World Cup of Hockey.
S/T to @jspears8 for the heads up.
