During a Papa John’s commercial that he filmed in late 2016, Alex Ovechkin revealed that his dream as a child was to be a pizza delivery guy.
Well, after the Caps destroyed the St. Louis Blues 7-3 at Scottrade Center Thursday night, Ovechkin wanted pizza delivered to his belly ASAP.

“YAYYYYY, PIZZA!” Ovechkin yelled with glee.
I don’t know if this means that there was pizza in the locker room or Barry Trotz promised to throw the team a pizza party in downtown St. Louis if they won. But, Ovi, I hope your incoming pizza is as delicious as watching all the Caps goals lately has been for me.
11:25pm update: Reader Michael believes that Ovi is yelling “Mishka,” the nickname of Alex’s older brother Mikhail. That is also plausible because Mikhail is representing the Ovechkin family during the Caps’ mentors trip. What do you think? If I got this wrong, please know that I’m sorry and you may get me back by making a joke about this being “fake news” in the comments.
