So this is a thing that happened.

Late in the second period, the Capitals took a 2-0 lead over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Nicklas Backstrom scored the goal, but I need to point you to what happened seconds before that.

Like look at this.

But let’s pick up right after the hit. TJ Oshie finds Backstrom wide open in the slot with a beautiful backhanded pass.

The tally was Backstrom’s 13th goal of the season.
